Fruit

a poem by Mark Wayne Gittings, UK

Here I sit on the edge of June
Gazing calmly at the partial moon
With neighbouring stars stunning,real
Contented in darkness is how I feel

Silence surrounds the fields around
Not a pin drop to gain any sound
Simplicity bears the fruit of life
Erasing worries,wiping strife

Minutes pass by,feelings fade
Emotions neutral,thoughts laid
Mindfulness gains as I reflect
Moments stick like I will never forget
