100th Challenge: Ode to Roy Kneale

a poem by Chad Martinez, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

No Greater Love
than to erase our own misdeeds through Love.
A Prince of Sonnets...
Roy would become a poetry King!
As he idly wondered
"Would it be affection for this bard?"
he, who conceded "I was never to any
'Truly Known"
Each word written, worth ethereal air
which shadows our every movement,
A flow he concentrated into each work,
A role, guidance is what he took,
Enough great poetry to fill many a' book.

Now, homeward wending, 'tis "A Souls Journey"
An empty candlestick is all that's left,
Into the Darkness of eternal night,
A spark (extinguished) ceases its brave fight
Assured that his true friends care!
Now, agreed, more than worthy to be considered "The Great Roy Kneale" here on VoicesNet
A man who Embraced the Uncertainty of Life!
