Fading shadows...

a poem by khanjan vyas, India

Fading shadows slowly around the dim light,
Flowing memories of us around me tonight,
Hold me closer to you & i'll hold you tight,
Moving my fingers around the places on my body
where you loved to bite.

Trying to find your warm breath around
my neck,
Trying to remember that soothing sound of lake,
Wish i knew what to give & what to take,
Divine touch & otherworldly feelings i am feeling
when i am looking back.

Anyways we are married now sweetheart,
Let's cherish the past while celebrating the present,
Afterall past is life's undetachable part & present is all
we have right now in our cart!

Night is getting darker & darker as shadows started to haunt
my dreams,
Closing my fingers & eyes as soon as reality screams.

I wish you never left me, you really were my life,
Now i am someone else's husband & you are
someone else's wife.
