a poem by Alex Seagrave, USA

Depression and anxiety are real I got them
You say it’s in your head
But no really? That’s how I feel
It’s so hard thinking, I need a mental cap
Being in public drains me like a tap.
Am I doing too much?
Am I not doing enough?
I just want to lay in bed and not do stuff
Drink me like a beer
Trust me, being drunk is sincere
Tell me all your secrets
Twist up all your lies
You never knew the best part
Was lying right inside.
