What Could Have Been (100th Inspirational Challenge)

a poem by Nishu Mathur, India

If I were lean and lanky, I could have been a model
I could have been a singer if I could hum in tune and yodel.
A famous artist perhaps if I had a brush throbbing with life
Or a snooty sous chef if I had a skilled culinary knife.
I could also have been a pilot flying high over the seas
Or a doctor with a stethoscope treating some disease.
An actor perhaps or a tycoon with a stack of gold and money
Who knows - I could have even been a doe-eyed playboy bunny.
Of course, I am none of these - I just happen to be me
And glad I am to meet you in our world of poetry.
