Borrowings In Love And Goods

a poem by Raghunandan Ram, India

Borrow, borrowing, borrowed
Beguile, beleaguer, bestowed,
Joy bought by goods borrowed,
Fits to passion of the furrowed
But the fancy of the falconed
Derails in the hold of reckoned;
Fissure of finance,
Pressure of Bank grievance,
Beats & bites in advance.
Borrowings in love,
Borrowings in goods,
Frail! Foul! Fallen!
Grail! Grave! Grievous!

Narad, the heavenly reporter!
Message broadcaster!
Once fastened fast
In a beauty blast,
Asked Hari for His facial cast
(Hari is Lord Vishnu
Hari is monkey)
And soon a he-man
Turned to a monkey man;
Dr. Fausts in agreement of soul
Meets a ruinous torment in whole.
Borrowings in love,
Borrowings in goods
Frail! Foul! Fallen!
Grail! Grave! Grievous!
