Black

a poem by Ayesha abid, Pakistan - poetry writer, author, poet

Enclosed in a square box
Filled with dark light
Empty echoes surrounding the sight
No space to escape
No light to see
No power to jump
No wings to set free
Running helpless here and there
Trembling with fear everywhere
A small hole in the upper wall
That shatters the sprinkling Ray sometimes
A hope that fluctuates
But a remedy to live in the cage
No wonder where is the key
How much moments still it would be
Reckless to numb the feel
Continuing the self to become a steel..
