The other

a poem by Adeosun Olamide Ayo, Nigeria

Some for the shades, sow seeds of unease,
And the seeds of unease having as fruits or roots,
A deep, sucks their peace
And shoot, the apprehension to abide with them.

They reach for the roots that banished their peace
And for the roots; dig, but dig graves,
For tis a deep, that takes too, their lives
And too, the memory of the shades they were known
