In keeping with Denis Barter's brief, I have written a limerick that tells a story of an incident in my past. It happened in the late '70s, when I was about 4. My father was on a business trip in New Zealand, and the family was staying at a motel in Arizona, USA.
Though a youngster named Ralph couldn't swim,
He dived into the pool on a whim.
As he sank like a stone,
He was not left alone
For his sister was there to save him!
