shimmer

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

candle
and Universe
flame to the lighting
love
and all It’s inviting
her Earthly proof
every distance of truth
to human lie
paint for the sky

words where they number
only to dismember
a thought
into nether soul
dreams like fruit growing whole
a heart taking hold
digits as they shimmer
like wax on the rim..

sound
and dialogue
beauty to the describing
poets as they lay
invention without motive
sounds as they live
moon and constellation
station to station

soul and mortal host
candle
empty room
nights as they bloom
like mad concussion
the heavens rushing
too quick to say
and none’s to silence..
