Sat beside the picture

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

Sat down in his chair,
Beside the picture frame
Of flowery heads of white,
In a dark backdrop; that reflect
The living room, with all its dreams
Particles of light from the table lamp
Catches the flowery light
In the picture frame
Flowery of white petal glow whiter
As the morning light filter its new day,
Through the living room window;
The fire place of white reflect side on,
With the vase of pinks and whites blooms
Fill the mantle piece in a pleasant mood.
The brighten picture frame flowers;
Brighter, brighter as the sun lifts its body
The chair with his body frame,
Reflect his elderly face,
In the sunny soft white flowers
