Rain sweeps away

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

The rain sweeps away
The sins of the road
To wet for unseen affairs
Between vehicles that,
Do not care, which tyres
Catch the full load of dirt

Fewer tyres on the move
Tyres sprays splash the rain
That hides the views of
The low hang grey dark clouds
That thunder out loud the shout!
That the passing storm is in control
