Shirley

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

temple
while only sky I choose
for barest ceiling
night
warm with this feeling
I am never alone
nor lost of love
sound
yes Earth muse in time
life leaves me rhyme
this Universe reason
season, age, sub-age
light where it rage
in eternal question
every colour of confession and need
Earth.. as she seed
machine, science, humanity
those places experiences seek
just as the poetry
endless waves again
her tongue
alive in my soul
like that sky in the rain
a temple to the pain
of species and nothing lost
but blessed silence..
