Fallen

a poem by Kenneth Malvyn Clark, UK

She hides her wings beneath a cape of grey
casts no shadow in the light of day.

Cold droplet tears she shares with night
no more to shine in Heavens bright.

One life, one love, for want of his kiss
an angel fallen beyond Heavens bliss.

No seraphim’s lips can his adore
or arms to hold feel loves amour.

For Heaven and earth shall ne’er the twain
lest Heaven weep, for love laid slain.
