a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

watching the world
wash its hands clean
throw its arms in the air
cry ‘economy’
coal and tobacco
the death of all roads
travelled at once
a heart to the punch
of every criminal CEO and politician
leading flocks to the wishing
that science and technology
the true data of biology
has served us less..
