Full bloom

a poem by Mark Wayne Gittings, UK

Misty thoughts from a scattered mind
Linking moments of every kind
Colours fade into black and white
Trying to make sense of day and night

The mind unsettled in need of rest
Roller coaster waves at its very best
A calming spirit I cease to yearn
A clothing of armour I wish to learn

A rainbow appears, I can see the light
Clouds are broken, a relieving sight
The flowers are in full bloom once more
Life is good, so good for sure.
