Reflections

a poem by Cadye Nation, USA

I look into the mirror but much to my surprise these are not my eyes. I look deeper into the flecked orbs for the true me lurking behind locked doors.
Lost behind a mask of hatred an destruction only to truly realize that I am mesmerized by its construction.
Once I was a burning ember full of life but Now I only see the pain of aura and strife. Yhere is only the darkness of night left an I no longer have the desire to see the light.
So I guess my path will lead me forever deeper into the waiting arms of the reaper.
