Behold The Duck

a poem by Westly Alexander Shaw, USA

Behold the duck,
Its feet go flop, flop ,flop.
Drifting in the air around us,
is pine. As he is made of smooth,
solid wood. That mixes in with the
smell of peppermint .
Now, he smells just like me.
I pull a thin sky colored string, and he
follow me, playing a child's game of
follow the leader.
Together we enjoy the screams
of ladies, as we splash through
cold puddles, throwing cool water
everywhere.
If you ever see us waddling by, wave
and just say HI!
