Autumn tree

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Liquid deeper than ether
A sound that breaks through the nether
Parts of our soul
Jack and Diane on the radio
Cass singing harmony
Earth so wet in the poetry
Of her eyes
I can’t lie
And for the most part
I fall in love every time..

A ghost to the touch
Of fading madness
This heart we bless
sing in accompaniment
A wish on the breeze went
Somewhere right of our spine
A single shot of star
Across the January night sky
whispering Autumn..
