a poem by Drsudarsan Damodar Prasad, India - poetry writer, author, poet

A Sunday muse :
How to live
In the inner world,
Of sheer beauty
Beyond abuse and no shadow of the ugly

Values galore
No artificial plastic flowers
No pasty insincere smiles ,
No scheming minds
Only a world of virtues ,
And simple honest souls !

May be an utopian dream ,
Far more real than the world dream,
Which turns into a night mare
In a trice, in a wink
Before you feel lost in a sea of faces,
Clueless and rudderless ,
With your oars making creaking noises,
The threat of a mindless
And impending drift
To unknown alien shores,
to confirm your worst fears !
