Your Body

a poem by william andrews, Greece

The words
life and death
is wrong
it should be
life as we know it
or the unknown
but even that
is wrong
sooner or later
the unknown
will come knocking
on your door
where the choice
is not yours
to choose
you will embrace
your fear
of losing
what you held
so dear

All these years
