When I have got time on hands

a poem by Srividhya Krishnamurthy, India

When I have got time on hands,
I would be the queen of my dream land,
I would cook my favorite food,
And swallow them only after they are fully chewed!
I would play with my kids on the mud and sand,
For my mom I would run even the smallest of errands!
I would drift to sleep on my dad's lap,
As he keeps patting on my forehead listening to my crap,
I wish I had time on my hands
To be the queen of my dream land
I miss a lot, I miss so many
All I have is anguish and agony
It's been a long while, almost a decade
Since the last time I was on voices net I am afraid,
I blame time for not being on my hands
For me to be the queen of my own land!!!!
