a poem by Drsudarsan Damodar Prasad, India - poetry writer, author, poet

Hail , Oh Lord of wisdom
The wisest among the wise ,
Destroyer of obstacles,
Cool as a cucumber
Obstructs all that is inauspicious,
With subtle moves ,
Which are priceless,
And in myriad ways
Which raises laughs
And tears of joy and ends
In frenzied shouts
" Hail Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles !"

None has ever tried to gauge your depths
Of knowledge and your unique ways
To impart knowledge and leave its imprints
On the wayward mind's
Aimless travails
And its trail of confused meanderings!

Like an adept captain ,
Confident of charting his course
On the high seas
By gazing at the stars,
Your guidance is a mystery,
But eventually we reach the shores
Of a dream country
Of such an exquisite beauty ,
And you never fail to keep your promises
To your ever faithful devotees !

Hail Ganesha, the Lord of wisdom and the wisest among the wise !
Destroyer of all that is inauspicious and remover of all obstacles in the pilgrim's progress to worldly and other - worldly glory !
