On A Fair Wind

a poem by Kenneth Malvyn Clark, UK

Sleep caresses my mind
unlocks the gateway to dreams,
into the dark ubiquitous night
dreams surreal dance their tale,
north south east west
on a fair wind they sail
nights unchartered sky,
days of old a buccaneer bold
their moment lived,
in but the blink of an eye.
