Rhymers Challenge - My Dream For Tomorrow

a poem by Kenneth Malvyn Clark, UK

Hi Rhymer, my Dream For Tomorrow is that they find the cause and a cure for the insidious disease of Alzheimer’s, I wrote this a while ago after I lost a friend to that illness, hope you accept this as my response to the challenge.

Where’s Poor John

Washing up dishes feeding the fishes
still making wishes,
unwanted intrusion cerebral delusion
old man’s confusion,
thoughts can’t think minds on the blink
don’t empty the sink!
gurgling gurgling dishwater gone
gurgling gurgling where’s poor John?
gurgling gurgling Johns drained away
gurgling gurgling, no more wishing today.
