Grief is Just Love

a poem by Lady Shaula Salathe, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Grief is just love with nowhere to go
I've loved and lost so I should know
Salt on the ground as it falls to earth
Grief is just love with nowhere to go

Love sometimes pours from the corner of my eye
How could I stop it - no need to try
Sound out the love that gathers in my voice
Grief is just love with nowhere to go

north, south, east, west,
Summer, winter, autumn, spring
Earth, water, fire and air
gather as one,
one day I'll follow you there

Grief is just love with nowhere to go.
