a poem by Louise Marie Robello, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

SHADOWS following me everywhere, what do they want why
do they care? They jump from walls
to ceilings and sometimes while in
flight, they look and stare until you shake like you did on Halloween night. Transparent with some substance gloom, they even have
the nerve to come in my room.
These mischevious creatures of the
night have the job of filling you up
with fright. If you ignore them they'll go away until the next night
terror they may come back to stay.
