STARDUST

a poem by Denis Barter, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Life can be difficult
At times so hard to smile,
And smiling is so beautiful
Smile and others smile with you,
Making life happier and worth while.

There is fun and joy all around
Which we should embrace,
The tiniest smile can lift a spirit
And smiling is contagious,
And spreads from face to face.

We should stay young in heart
Share smiles as we go on our way,
Smiling is little specks of stardust
We sprinkle each time we smile,
And brighten others day.

Bring joy and stardust into your life
Do things that give you pleasure,
Then you are sprinkling stardust
Making special moments,
Giving you memories to treasure.

This poem was written by Maggie Pollock and sent to me. I post it here for you to read, under her name and with her permission. Hopefully, this very special dear friend - a Scottish Lady, known by many members of VN - will continue to write more and be persuaded to post them here. Doubtless She will appreciate any comments, as she is told to remain within her house boundaries for the next 12 weeks. The Corona virus adds even more unwanted pressure on those of us, of advanced years. It is to be hoped that more of the 'old brigade' - greatly missed - will also be encouraged to return as well. Keep safe and write. Rhymer aka Denis.
