Like A Sunami Coming.

a poem by Mark Ainslie, UK

It is like a Sunami is coming,
With no hills to climb,
I am fearful for everyone,
especially the family of mine.

Unnerving announcements,
Of how we should react.
Fatalities mounting,
A serious matter of fact.

It is all a bit surreal,
Like a science fiction book.
Spreading like wildfire,
Close contact is all it took.

The numbers keep doubling,
A statistic you can't hide.
Really so important now,
To stay safe at home inside.

An unrecognised and different,
Way we spend our days.
Hats off to the health service,
For them nothing but praise.

One day it will all be over,
And it will be normal again.
We will have to be focused,
And mentally strong till then.
