a poem by Krzeslawa T. Skrzypczynska, Poland - poetry writer, author, poet

In the cover of night,
she's going back alone, to something,
what's already not there.
She comes back later and later
and increasingly reluctant.
The moon, her the only companion,
helps to think
and he isn't rushing her going faster ahead
as the wind could do it.
He's next to
and she,
in the darkness of the night,
she is feeling safety
Where is she returning from now?
And for what?
To what?
She is vanishing around some dark corners
of the skyscraper’s door.
