Rum chocolate

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

Rum chocolate saved
For a corona summer day
What bit of corner to break?
How many slices to take
Think about the rummy rum choc intake
Lay back on the sofa
Bit of sofa-ology
Think I am on a summer holiday
In a far of place, enjoying the taste
Of the summer holiday sun at the bay bar
Drinking chilled out beer, lick my lips
My taste buds appreciate the holiday beer
Left the sit ups on holiday back home
Roam along the sandy beach, the blue waves
Tickle my toes and feet; reach out and break,
A bit of rum chocolate, Jummie taste
Break another square, swallow and let it melt
Enjoy the yummie chocolate time of year
