Video Call is All We Have.

a poem by Mark Ainslie, UK

Tears falling over a video call,
Missing the grandkids, that's all.
A while now since they have been,
So good to see them on the screen.

Miss random visits most of all,
To cheer us up each time they call.
Funny antics and things they say,
Relentless energy as they play.

Emtying boxes of games and toys,
Creating a jovial volume of noise.
Wouldn't swap a single thing,
And savour the joy they bring.

Parting kisses and warm embraces,
With a loving smile on their faces.
Will be good to see them here again,
Thankful for a Video call till then.
