Sappy the Happy Chicken( A rhyming poem)

a poem by Westly Alexander Shaw, USA

All around the town
acting as if a clown.
Was Sappy the happy
Some birds just sit,
not Sappy, he was fit.
Eating carrots,
by the barrels.
His color was orange.
He had flair,
and was very rare.
Some thought this bird
a nerd.
However, he was a winner,
never being someone's dinner.
Never fat,
or his feathers on a hat.
He was God's good idea.
