Freewill

a poem by R. Anthony H. Rock, Canada

I came; I saw, I watched them fail
They cried aloud, heard them wail.
Choice stood a'fore them, Love or Hate.
A choice made unwisely, sealed their Fate.
Enslaved by Greed, Corrupted too,
Souls lost to Darkness, their weakness true.
To Hope, to Dream of a finer hour,
Choice, the illusion created by Power.
Heed quieted words and due counsel,
Selfless and Kind is Freewill's Rebel.
