Her Hair

a poem by sharnyk ongar, USA

Her Hair
Was beautiful
Long and so dark
With fiery streaks of red
Running wild through its length
When the sun decided to dance with her
And summer’s scent kissed each strand.
Before you left us, I cut a length
For my heart lay in
Its interlacing
