Wild wind

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

Wild wind visited the beach
During a summertime day;
The shore waves hold their breaths
As they fall heavily on the shore
The fallen waves spread up and over
One another; stampeded emotions torn
Torn in a heap of frothy defeat;
Waves soak into the beach pebbles soaked;
With no monument to remember them
