Odd Little Ways

a poem by Nishu Mathur, India

In chaotic times, in darkness
As bad as it can be
The worst of times, at times, witness
The best of humanity.
In odd little ways, quietly
How compassion stirs and thrives
And good old kindness finds a way
To come into many lives.
Not half empty - that glass
I hope it’ll always be half full
For I think that’s how this world of ours
Shall remain beautiful

Not that there is no suffering, but so many people are trying hard to alleviate it.
