Nana ( Father)

a poem by Sailaja Dwarsala, India

Rides on his back and shoulders
Showed me the world around

Cuddling in his arms, I learnt lifeskills
Holding his fingers, I tried my little steps
Following his instructions, I tread the ways of life

My tears filled his eyes
My wins drenched him with celebrations

Always yearns for my wellbeing
And longs for my happiness
Words fail me to express his love and care

Walking deity he is
Helping me to walk my life !

Mr. Siva wrote it in Telugu and I translated it. Salute to all fathers.
