Confusing

a poem by william andrews, Greece

How can I
Lose
what little faith
I have left

When faith
refuses to let me
go

How can I
keep you
at arm's length

When my arm's
continuously
disobey's me

How can i
speak the lies
i think
to make you
walk away

When my heart
has been broken
beaten
abused
forced
into the dark allyways
of a desperate life

My heart
that is still bleeding
with despair
as my life's meaning

For some unknown
painfull reason
my heart
Believes

In You
