a poem by Sailaja Dwarsala, India

Engrossed in past memories for a long time
I was jolted to reality in no time
When I heard someone calling my name

Realised it's my inner voice that gnaws me time after time
I try to pay heed to it one time or the other

But I feel , it's time consuming to rekindle my benumbed senses
As time goes by , I wake up to the harsh realities of life

It's just a matter of time that I wait
To regain my Utopia , my lost life.
