The Beat Of My Heart

a poem by Shaunda Yvette, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Man size love it’s just our luck sexy...
Long distance love affair;
I can’t just let love pass me by.
Good love...
With the finishing touch,
I’d still say yes,
Yet convince me.
Are you a heartbreaker cause when you kiss me...
I’m all turned out.

Don’t run away,
I want to love you tonight.
Don’t hide your love
When you have the lock and key.
If you love me;
The beat of my heart...
Make me an offer I can’t refuse.

Never underestimate the power of a woman.
Girls will be girls
Yet this is a private party
Not a meeting in the ladies room.
The man in my life
I wish you would come back.
Love Bandit,
I miss you.
Girls chasing boys;
Only when you’re the best.
I betcha you won’t ask me no questions.
The men all pause, and stare
Ladies,
Just don’t mess with my man.
