I never saw you, when I was 2,
I never saw you, on my first day of school,
My 8th birthday, I wished for you, when I blew my candles out,
By 10 I hated you,
Now 15, my first day of high school... I hated that year, but you weren’t there to know,
Finally my last year of high school and still not one birthday card or Christmas card,
Do you even care?
But now, I can say look at me, look what you missed out in.
I’m 18, I don’t do drugs, or drink, I don’t even smoke...
And I did it without you, without a dad,
You were never there for me, but my mom is, she did your job and hers
I fly with all my colors showing and all thanks to my mom,
You were never there for me, But I guess I never really needed you...
