Two Poems from our Fall Poetry Collection

Witches brew

Author: Kevin Geary

Poem:
Witches brew

  Clatter splatter sounds of chatter
Shatter scatter make me madder

Eye of mouse and string of blouse
Door of clubhouse and stairs of lighthouse
Book of Aesop and badge of cop
Hill of hilltop and bell of bellhop
Drop of drool and heart of mule
Water of pool and tongue of a fool
Air of an attic and of a democratic
Shoe of an acrobatic and a nose of a mathematic

Clatter splatter sounds of chatter
Shatter scatter make me madder

Fall leaves in the country

Author: Andrew St. germain

Poem: Fall leaves in the country

The next sight that I saw
was no ordinary sight.
It kept me up
all day
and all night.
It was flaming red leaves,
with a hint of gold on each one.

It seemed to me,
the country leaves
couldn't get enough attention.
They looked so shiny,
grazing back and forth
in the windy light.

Soon will come winter
with another beautifull sight.
