As autumn casts its russet veil Over trees and sun-dappled dale Golden hues amongst withering leaves And pine cones strewn randomly as time weaves Its meandering course, betwixt summer heat And cold winter nights and snow beneath feet Heaven azure glimpsed between branches high Before night conquers day and lays claim to the sky Myriad stars clad in ebony cloak, Moonlight casts shadows from willow and oak. Darkness envelopes all things, plant and beast 'Til crimson and amber return from the east Restoring the colour to meadow and brook Returning the gifts that the dark hours took.

Autumn |

Acorns fall, The leaves turn red. I notice this all while I am in bed. Kids play in leaf piles, like they just don't care. And autumn's chill is in the air. Leaves are falling, yards are raked. And fresh apple pies are being baked. To me autumn is the greatest time of the year. It is full of laughs and good cheer.
