Today, I look back without regret, The autumn wind blowing in my face. Tomorrow still remains ever set. I've been so oft told of this moment Where I encounter a familiar, distant place.
Yesterday, I paid no attention to today. Time has changed so many things, Tides will rise, and glaciers fall to grey Oceans, the world and I will never stay As the childish images poets sing.
Today, I walk confidently in a fashion. That reflects distinctly the trials I've passed. I think of the lovely days I'd been rationed, Knowing myself on Heaven's last bastion, Seeing the horizon distinctly from the mast.
I say, While reminiscing just a second, I feel for the very first time free, Not obsessing over my record, My past failures-- pain is unbeckoned In my memory, the way I thought I'd never be.
The day Has come where days behind No longer bring unspeakable pangs Of guilt and regret, (I'm) Now not blind To memory, I now keep happiness in mind. And now I realize that the clangs Of angelic bells are awakening a creature 16 years in the making, never forsaking Celerity for quality, or sanity for beauty. For once, I see the times far behind As a beautiful thing, a thing to be beheld In the most high esteem; the greatest dreams Are things I've already lived-- And these are the moments my sleeping narratives Are inspired by. Time for once is my ally, my compatriot in facing The days before me without heart pacing, And as my thoughts speed from fast to racing, I envision the day before me as blindingly bright, A present I can finally control, if I first untie the ruby lacing. |

Leaves are tricky, Leaves are fun, When winter approaches leaves are done. Make a big pile, Jump in with much please, For when you slide to the bottom you feel great ease. Rake them up, Before the Snow comes, Because when Winter Approaches, Leaves are Done.
