Two Poems from our Family Poetry Collection

A MOTHERS LOVE

Author: Katharine Ward

Poem:
A MOTHERS LOVE

What a joy and sight to behold
a poem that needed to be told
for a mothers love is worth more than gold
it is unconditional something that can never be sold.

A bond and love that is to treasure
something that is deep and has no measure.

My dear little one,
you are the brightest light that I ever did see
without you in this world it would mean nothing to me!

I will miss you one day when you leave the nest
and go to flight
you being in my life has been a wonderful delight!

A poem a story, just like life will unfold
a mothers love is the greatest gift to be told.

A MOTHER

Author: Victoria Tollvier

Poem: A MOTHER

The sparkle in my eyes
she showed me how to tie
The love in my heart,
she had it from the start
The smile on my face,
wasn't cause I won the race
The teardrop that is falling,
I know who I will be calling
The one that stands above no other,
That would be my dear MOTHER.
