You're a friend That is true no matter what I do No matter what I say No matter what stupid things I do Your there to keep me in line No matter how I make you fell Embarrassed, frustrated And most of all confused No matter what I ask of you I know that you will come through You are always there to pick me up Around you I never talk too much Everyone else says I do I know you would never betray me No matter what rumors are told No matter what anyone says This friendship will last Because I can't afford to lose you If i ever do There is no telling what I might do

Your words were like magic. So unbelievable, so powerful, and so realistic. I would listen, giving you my undivided attention as if nothing else mattered. Soaking into my mind like the poison from a venomous snake, I prolonged being naive, knowing what you said would have some kind of meaning. Never knowing what the meaning really was, I somehow still allowed not only the concious, but the unconcious part of me take it all in. Although your words pierced through me like the once performed crucifixion, I couldn't bring myself to face you. I never thought of it as lying, just withholding the truth. I knew it wasn't right, but why was it so wrong? Your stories became transparent, allowing me to see right through you, which made me realize that out of all this time,I lived my life to accomodate your lies. Then I somehow found a way to proceed, but only in the opposite direction. Reversing me feelings, my beliefs, and my thoughts. As I freed myself from your captivity, I began to figure out a way to conquer what I thought was love, but what turned out to be a mindful battle. Fate never brought us together. Only the innocence of the tales that were told. Being blinded by love only brought upon me much anticipated anger, hurt, and frustration. After washing it away with the tears that I cried, I found a new beginning, a new meaning to life, and a sense of relief. Now, with a clear mind, a mended heart, and a resurrected spirit, I've come to the conclusion that I'm ready for love. Real love. But whose love? Only my love.
