Two Poems from our Friendship, Best Friend, Friend Poetry Collection

A Lovestory

Author: Christopher Highley

Poem:
A Lovestory

A great love found - never to be lost,
Promises were made, hearts were crossed.
Great moments came - one after the other,
Two souls combined and planned to make another.

A rough road, a jolting ride,
An ocean of tears we both have cried.
Rough times came - most of them passed,
Promises were broken- hearts shattered like glass.
The peices fell, mine mixing with yours,
Altogether one pile of pain and sores.
You reassembled yours and put it in place,
But looking down mine vanished without a trace.

After some time when I was alone,
I found those peices on my own.
The place where I stored my love for you
Had been replaced by something new.
I now had feelings of discust and regret,
My only wish was that time could reset.

I am now trapped in this body for which I've lost respect,
Far from interesting, far from perfect,
But this is me - who I've become...
Far from everyone, but never lonesome...

My Boabie

Author: David Light

Poem: My Boabie

"Times do not cry,
Eyes do not grow older,
Tears do not fly,
Friends do not turn shoulder.

But my heart sings,
My heart flies,
My heart cries,
My heart turns old,
My heart grows cold.

But my heart will not die.
No, not with you on my side.
Behind me,
To push me on.
To make me strong
To help me live,
To make me give.
To take my frown,
To give your sound.
To hold me tight,
To lure my sights,
Away from the pressures and hards of life.

I love you!
You are all that I want.
All that I see.
All that I flaunt.
You coudln't be anymore perfect,
Than you are to me.
Anymore beautiful,
Than you are to the.
Anymore trusting,
Than you are to He.
He that is Me,
Me that is He,
He that wishes to see,
A You & Me,
Together at last,
To relive the past,
To live that moment,
I first glanced as you passed,
To retry the days,
I spoke not to you,
To rid mind of the day,
I lived without you.
To forget the way,
My heart sank at the look of your sorrowfull eyes,
Tears without cries.
Eyes without lies,
A true human being,
Not tainted by tries.

Dead words like love cannot express,
The heart-felt feelings I posses.
The love inside that can't break free,
Shackled by it's ecstasy.

I just hope, that you soon see.
You are all, that is me.
You are mine,
My one and only,
My Heart,
My Love,
My Beautiful Boabie"

[For reference Boabie is a nickname for my friend Alex]
