A Poem for my Nonno

Poem:
A Poem for my Nonno

  A Poem for my Nonno
By Joseph A. Natale

Tears, all these tears, how they run from my eyes.
The pain is unbearable, I’m so broken inside.
For I have just lost, a man so dear to me.
This love for my Nonno, it’s so clear you see.

The man who held me, held me from birth.
Has gone so quickly, gone away from this Earth.
“Nonno, Nonno, I miss you,” I cry!
Yet I will never question God, question Him why.

I simply think of this as an irreproachable crime,
No one’s at fault, but it was merely your time.
You taught us to love, and that - I will never forget,
Is the greatest gift of all, so how can I fret?

Please don’t worry about me Nonno, or my grandmother,
For what a blessing it is that we all still have each other.
Wherever my life takes me I’ll always carry your name,
And your memory burning in my heart; an eternal flame.

I know you’re in heaven, and probably seedin’,
A fig tree for us, in the Garden of Eden.
Please help me stay strong Nonno, I don’t want to cry.
But it’s just so hard - for me to say goodbye.

Until the day we meet again I leave you with this,
See you at the Pearly Gates Nonno, greet me with a kiss.
And sing with the angels high above, like we did in our days...

Ciao nonno mio. I love you forever. Forever and always...

Special memories of my lost love

Author: Reginald Walker

Poem: Special memories of my lost love

The stars are shining brightly in the night sky.
They remind me of the treasured years gone by.
When I enjoyed the endless moments of your charms,
I really cherished intimately holding you in my arms.

My blissful days have silently turned into lonely years.
My great hopes became overshadowed by my worst fears.
I never imagined that my queen, one day, would not be here.
I never thought that I would lose someone that was so dear.

I remember the heavenly joys that can never be replaced.
I, even, remember the delicate feel of your lovely face.
Oh, how I miss all the glorious days of old.
Oh, how I really long for the lover of my soul.

I will always have special memories of my love.
My soul mate has now gone to forever live above.
I stand at the grave where my companion now lies.
After all these years, it is still hard for me to say my goodbyes.

I have lost the love of my life much too soon.
All my friends say that time will heal my wounds.
I can not understand the exact reason why.
The reason why the lover of my soul had to die.

I will forever have special memories of our love,
Until the day that I will be call to live in heaven above.
There is one thing for sure I can always rely,
In heaven, we will never have to say goodbye.
