Two Poems from our Funerals Poetry Collection

MY WORLD

Author: Julia Mahoney

Poem:
MY WORLD

  Slip into my world
Fall into my eyes
Drown inside my blood
It’ll kill you inside
You’re in my world, and I’m not alive
Razor blade and poison stings
Loving kisses in my mind
Dust and dirt
Beneath the earth
In my world, will ease the hurt
Burning embers, the only light
In my world, where its always night
Stuck in a rut, sleepless soul
Thumping, aching without control
Never mind your world
That I’m not apart
To be in your world
You need a heart
I haven’t one I sold it for you
Bleeding the love, didn’t know what to do
So I invite you in, to live in sin
My world, where dead souls can live

LETTING GO OF YOU

Author: Jenna leigh Walters

Poem: LETTING GO OF YOU

I know I have to let you go.
How I will I do not know.
I know that it's your time to die.
What I don't know is how to say goodbye.
I'll miss you so much I don't know what to do.
I guess I'll just end this poem with a goodbye and an I love you.
